How to connect an Activation Panel

Connect your Activation Panel with its API address and reseller API key, so paid orders create and renew lines by themselves. No password needed.

Once your Activation Panel is connected, a paid order creates the customer's line on it, and a renewal extends that same line. You don't do anything by hand.

Activation Panel connects through its reseller API. You only need two things: the panel's API address and your reseller API key. We never need your username or password.

Before you start: find your reseller API key in your Activation Panel account. If you can't find it, the provider who sold you the panel account can give it to you.

1Step 1 of 6Open the panel picker

Go to Panels → All panels and click Add panel. The page scrolls down to Add New Panel. Type "activation" in the search box.

Not sure which panel type you have? Click Detect my panel, paste the address you log in to and click Detect panel. Then click Use this next to the best guess.

2Step 2 of 6Choose Activation Panel

Click the Activation Panel tile. A window opens with the connection form. If your plan's panel limit is already reached, you're asked to upgrade first.

3Step 3 of 6Fill in the form

  • Display Name: any name you'll recognise, for example Main panel.
  • Stream URL: the address your customers' apps connect to. It's used to build each customer's playlist (M3U), portal and EPG links.
  • Panel URL: the panel's API address. For activationpanel.ru accounts this is https://activationpanel.ru/api/api.php (the old .net address still works). If your panel runs on its own host, use that host followed by /api/api.php.
  • Reseller API Key: the key from your Activation Panel account.

4Step 4 of 6Add the panel

Click Add Panel. The connection is tested before anything is saved:

  • It works: the panel is saved and its page opens.
  • It fails: you see Panel not saved, with what went wrong. Nothing is saved. Fix the detail and click Add Panel again.

5Step 5 of 6Check the connection and packages

On the panel's page, Connection Status should show Connected. You can click Test Connection at any time. Your credit balance is read from the panel and kept up to date.

The Packages card shows the packages we read from your panel. After you add or change packages on the panel, go back to Panels → All panels, open the ⋯ menu on the panel's card and click Re-sync packages.

6Step 6 of 6Create a product to sell

A new panel has no products yet, so its page shows Create a product. Click it to open Quick setup from panel, then click Fetch packages. Under Your combined product, tick each Duration tier you sell (1, 3, 6 or 12 months), fill in its Base price and click Create product.

From then on, when a customer pays, the panel creates their line with its own username and password, and their login is emailed to them.

What works with Activation Panel

  • New lines and renewals: created and extended automatically after payment.
  • Usernames: the panel makes the username and password for each new line.
  • Bouquets: each product uses one bouquet from your panel.
  • Credits: your balance is tracked, with a warning when it runs low.
  • Free trials: trial lines use the panel's demo tickets.
  • Line expiry: the panel's API can't suspend or delete lines. A line simply runs out at its end date on the panel.

Common problems

"Activation Panel returned status=error" The panel refused the request without saying why. Usually the Reseller API Key is wrong or was changed, or the Panel URL isn't the /api/api.php address. Copy the key again from your Activation Panel account, check the address, and click Add Panel (or Test Connection) again.

"Activation Panel's server is unreachable" The panel's server didn't answer. This is on the provider's side. Check that the panel opens in your browser, and try again later.

Trial orders fail with "Not enough Demo Tickets" Your panel account has no demo tickets left for free trials. Add demo tickets on the panel, or switch off the free trial on your product until you have them.

More messages and what to do about each are in Fix a panel that won't connect.

Still stuck?

Send us your panel's address and the error you see under Help → Contact platform support. We'll check it from our side. Never send us your password; we don't need it.
