The free trial has no end date and no card is needed. It stays free until 25 customers have paid through your store. This guide explains how that number is counted, what happens when you reach it, and how to move to a paid plan.

1Step 1 of 6Know what counts as a paying customer

A paying customer is a customer with at least one invoice paid through your store for more than €0.

  • Payments taken by your payment gateways count, and so do payments you record yourself in the portal (a subscription you add by hand, an invoice you mark as paid).
  • A customer who paid several times, or has several lines, counts once.
  • Free trials your customers take do not count.
  • Customers you imported from another system (CSV, WHMCS, WordPress) do not count until they pay through your store for the first time.

2Step 2 of 6Watch the meter in your dashboard

Your dashboard shows Free trial: X of 25 paying customers from your first day. You also get an email when you are close to the limit and when you reach it.

When you reach the limit, new customers can no longer sign up or order until your store is on a paid plan. Your existing customers are not affected: they order and renew as normal.

3Step 3 of 6At the limit: three days to choose a plan

The first time your store reaches the limit, a 3-day grace period starts. The dashboard banner shows the time left and the plan your store moves to; the email says the same.

The plan is the cheapest paid plan whose customer allowance fits your number of paying customers (Starter below 250 paying customers, Professional above). It is priced exactly as it would be at your own checkout: any special price or discount on your account is applied. Click Choose your plan in the banner to pick a different plan or a yearly period instead.

4Step 4 of 6Day three: your credit covers it, or the store pauses

When the three days are over:

  • Your platform credit covers the first month → your store moves to that plan and the amount is taken from your credit. You get a receipt by email and nothing else changes. See Platform credit & top-up for your balance.
  • It does not → your store is paused: it takes no new orders and no renewals until you pay. Customers who try see "This store is not taking orders right now — please contact the store." Nothing is suspended or deleted: every existing line keeps working until its own end date, and your products, customers and settings stay as they are. You are shown the pay page when you open your dashboard.

5Step 5 of 6Pick and pay for your plan

Open Your plan → Plan & billing (or follow the banner) and choose a plan and a period. Every price shown is exactly what you pay. Pay by card or another gateway, or with your platform credit.

You can do this at any time, also before the limit or during the grace period: the moment your store is on a paid plan the grace period ends and nothing is taken automatically.

6Step 6 of 6Lift a pause

A pause is lifted the moment your store is on a paid plan: pay from the pay page and the store takes orders and renewals again straight away. Topping up your platform credit so that it covers the first month also works; the plan is then paid from your credit within the hour.

If something looks wrong with your count, message the team from the pay page or from your dashboard.
