Let customers choose their libraries and resend their Plex invite

Some customers don't want every library, for example adult or foreign-language ones. You can mark libraries on a plan as Optional. Customers can then untick them when they buy, and change their mind later from their account. On Plex plans you can also let customers resend their invite and change the email it goes to, so they don't have to ask you.

Nothing changes on a plan until you switch it on.

1Step 1 of 4Open the plan

Go to Panels → Media servers → All media servers, click Manage on your server and open the Plans tab. Click the pencil on the plan you want to change.

2Step 2 of 4Mark libraries as optional

Under Library access, each library in the plan is Always included by default. Tick the box under a library to make it Optional, so the customer can untick it.

Keep at least one library Always included. A customer can't untick everything.

3Step 3 of 4Turn on Plex invite self-service

On a Plex plan, switch on Customers can resend their invite and change the invite email.

4Step 4 of 4Save

Click Save Template. Repeat for each plan you want this on. If you sell stream options of the plan, open its Stream options (multi-room) and save again so the copies get the same libraries.

What your customers see

• When buying: a Libraries box with the optional libraries ticked. They untick the ones they don't want.
• On their subscription in their account: Your libraries, where they can untick or re-tick optional libraries at any time. Plex customers also see Your Plex invite, with Resend invite and Change invite email. The new email is invited first, and the old share is only removed once that worked.
• In bundles: it works the same for the Plex or Emby part of a bundle.

You can still resend a customer's invite yourself from your server's page.
